Application of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to individuals who access or use Lifely as members. The service is currently intended primarily for users in Canada, including Québec and the Greater Montreal area, and may be expanded to other Canadian markets over time.
Eligibility
Lifely is intended solely for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under 18.
Information we collect
We collect personal information reasonably necessary to establish and administer your account, provide membership services, process transactions, communicate with you, and operate the platform. Depending on your use of the service, this may include:
- identifying and account information, such as your name, email address, date of birth, and city;
- membership, billing, and transaction information;
- information you provide in connection with referrals, guest passes, support requests, or other interactions with us;
- technical, device, and usage information used to operate, secure, and improve the service; and
- notification, location, or similar permission-based information where you choose to enable those features.
We may also collect additional information that you choose to provide voluntarily. Where optional information is requested, we will identify it as such at the time of collection.
How we use information
We may use personal information for the following purposes:
- to create, maintain, and secure your account;
- to provide access to memberships, offers, redemptions, referrals, and related features;
- to process payments and manage subscription status;
- to communicate with you regarding your account, transactions, service updates, and support matters;
- to send promotional communications in accordance with your consent and applicable law;
- to administer notifications and location-based functionality where enabled by you;
- to monitor, prevent, investigate, and address fraud, misuse, security incidents, and other prohibited conduct; and
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our contractual rights.
Marketing communications
By creating an account, you consent to receive promotional and marketing emails from Lifely Experience regarding Lifely, offers, and related initiatives. You may withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism included in our emails or by contacting us.
Push notifications are sent only where you have granted the necessary device permissions. If you enable notifications, you may manage them through your device settings and any applicable in-app preferences.
Location and camera permissions
If you authorize location access, we may use location information to support discovery, mapping, and related location-aware features. If location access is not granted, we may rely on the city or regional information associated with your account.
Camera access is used only where necessary to support redemption verification features, including QR code scanning by business-side users.
Service providers and payment processing
We may engage third-party service providers to assist in hosting, infrastructure, security, communications, payment processing, analytics, and related operational functions. These providers may receive personal information only to the extent reasonably necessary to perform services on our behalf and subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.
Membership payments are processed through Stripe. Payment information is handled by Stripe in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices.
Disclosure of information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose personal information to service providers, to comply with applicable law or legal process, to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of Lifely Experience, our users, or our partners, or in connection with a business transaction or corporate reorganization where permitted by law.
Retention and protection
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the service, maintain appropriate business and legal records, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or loss.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. We may require reasonable verification of identity before responding to such requests.
Changes to this policy
We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updated version will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date. Where required or appropriate, we may also provide notice by email, in-app message, or other reasonable means.
